IOWA CITY

Glenn J. Swartzendruber, 86, of Oaknoll Retirement Resudence, died of congestive heart failure Thursday at Oaknoll infirmary. Services: 10 a.m. Saturday, Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. Burial: Memory Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today at George L. Gay Funeral Home. Survivors include his wife, Viola, and a brother, Lloyd of Parnell.

Funeral services for Glenn J. Swartzendruber, 86, of Iowa City, were 10 a.m. Saturday, June 12, in the Our Redeemer Lutheran Church with the Rev. Timothy J. Zimmerman officiating. Burial was in Memory Gardens cemetery.

Mr. Swartzendruber died Thursday, June 10, 1993, at Oaknoll infirmary.

Born February 12, 1907, in Iowa County, he was the son of Isaac and Barbara Swartzendruber Swartzendruber, and had farmed in Iowa and Johnson counties.

He married Viola Gingerich November 30, 1933, in Kalona.

He was a charter member of the Our Redeemer Lutheran Church and a member of the Farm Bureau.

Mr. Swatrzendruber is survived by his wife, and one brother, Lloyd Swartzendruber of Parnell.

He was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.
