Glenwood R. Rairigh, 73, of Sunfield, MI. passed away Friday, December 19, 2003 at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, MI. He was born November 4, 1930 in Woodbury, MI. the son of Rev. Glenn and DeEtte (Hunt) Rairigh.
Glenwood was a lumberman, owner of Glenwood's Saw Shop, formerly employed as plant protection at Diamond Reo, and Motor Wheel.
His community involvement and memberships included, Sunfield Township Treasurer, Sunfield Lions Club, Lakewood Basketball referee, and Sunfield United Brethren Church.
Glenwood was preceded in death by both his parents, and a sister, Frances (Lincoln) Owen.
He is survived by his wife (of 53 years), Flossie (Hefflebower) Rairigh, 4 sons, Glen (Linda) Rairigh, of Sunfield, MI. Gerald (Janice) Rairigh of Pickford, MI. Gregg Rairigh, of Sunfield, MI. and Gailen Rairigh of Lake Odessa, MI. 13 grandchildren, 6 great grand children, and a sister Peggy (Donald) Curell, of Sunfield, MI.
Funeral service was held Monday, December 22, 2003 at the Sunfield United Brethren Church with Rev. Mark Ralph officiating.
For those wishing, contributions may be made to the Sunfield United Brethren Church or the Lions Club of Sunfield.
The pall bearers were Jason, Luke, Kyle, Chadwich, Adam and Anthony Rairigh.
The family was served by Rosier Funeral Home, Sunfield, MI.
