There is a story that I must get my mother to write (she is the author in the family). The Van Kamerik family...lost many children at very early ages or at birth....until they went to see the Rabbi...who gave them a remedy.... and that was to offer their first child to another family member....when the baby was born ....they did this.. (although the child was returned) ....low and behold all the children were healthy after this..am sure Hetty would write it better...but what a lovely family tale..that should be passed down.
