Team USA biographical sketch:

Gracie Gold has had a meteoric rise to the top of the U.S. figure skating ranks. After earning the junior national title at the 2012 U.S. Figure Skating Championships, Gold went on to win silver at the junior worlds, and was then quickly called upon to join the senior ranks at the 2012 World Team Trophy, where she helped Team USA earn silver. Gold continued to wow the world and work towards her ‘Gold’-en expectations when she earned her first senior Grand Prix medal, a silver at the 2012 Rostelecom Cup. At her first senior national championships, Gold finished second to reigning champion Ashley Wagner before making perhaps her most important statement. At the 2013 World Figure Skating Championships, Gold finished sixth in her senior worlds debut, helping to earn the United States the maximum three Olympic spots.
