1880 - moved to Grapeland, 20 miles west of San Bernardino. Constructed the Perdew School, closed in 1899 when the Perdew School District combined with the Grapeland School District. They became part of the Etiwanda District in 1901.

1881 - Mar 18, VALLEY INDEX, page 1 col 4: Miss Minnie Perdew, a young daughter of G.F.R.B. Perdew, was seized with a sudden and violent sickness on Tuesday, resembling a paralytic stroke. She is better at the writing.
