Aslak's son (Grandma Gro's step-son) Gullik, was born in Numedal, norway. In 1860, at the age of 1 year, he came to America with his family. His mother and three older children died and were buried at sea. He spent his boyhood days around St. Olaf, Ia. In 1881, when he was 22 years old, he went to N. Dak. where he homesteaded in Cavalier County.

Died at the age of 71 years, 11 mo. and 22 days.

Married Jan. 11, 1886 to Gurine Gertie Peterson.
