Hannah Barrett

Baptised in Abbas Combe on 03.06.1792. Parents Robert and Ann.

Married to William Barrett on 16.10.1814 in Abbas Combe, Somerset. Witnesses were Martha Courtney and James Stickland.

Lived in Minterne Magna until around 1827 when she moved to Cheltenham area.

1841- Union Street, Cheltenham, aged 49 with Ann, Elizabeth,Johanna, Emma. William absent. Hannah's occupation is nurse.

1851- Dove Cottage,Union Street, Cheltenham, aged 59 and a WIDOW working as a laundress. Present also Sarah, a milliner and Emma, a dressmaker.

She died at Avon Cottage, Victoria Street, Fairview, Cheltenham of diarrhoea for 36 hours. Mary Hill of 7 Columbia Street was present at her death. See Media for death announcement.

There is a headstone for her, son Robert, his wife Mary and little grandson Horace in Cheltenham Old Parish Cemetery A213. It states she died age 64 in 1854.
