DEATH CALLS AGED PIONEER ON WEDNESDAY -- Mrs S. K. Crowley, Aged 93, Passed At Lincoln; Parents Second To Cross Barlow Route; Life Spent at Crowley Station. ---
Mrs. S. K. Crowley, thought to be among the oldest of the pioneer Polk County residents, passed away Wednesday, September 16, at the home of her daughter Mrs. J. M. Craven of near Lincoln. Mrs. Crowley was 93 years of age.
Funeral services will be held at the Salem Mortuary, 545 North Capital St., at 1:30 P.M. Friday, with burial in Aetna cemetery near Crowley Station.
Mrs. Crowley (Hannah Rebecca Fulkerson) came to Oregon with her parents Mr. and Mrs. J. N. Fulkerson in 1847. Their wagon was the second to pass over the Barlow route. They settled at Crowley Station. Her father was a member of the first territorial legislature.
Mrs Crowley is survived by seven children: Dr. J. M. Crowley, Portland; Mrs. Mary Fawk, Salem; S. H. Crowley, Rickreall; M. K. Crowley, Monmouth; Mrs. A. D. Putherer, Portland; Mrs. J. M.
