Hannah Beamsley, daughter of William Beamsley and Ann


Beamsley, was born in Dec 1643 in Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts[1][2] and was baptized there 17 Dec 1643,[3][4] "being about 4 days old".[5][6]

Hannah married Abraham Perkins on 16 Oct 1661[3][6] in Ipswich, Essex County, Massachusetts,[4][5][7] and they had the following children:[2]

  1. Hannah, b. 7 Mar 1662;
  2. Abraham, b. 15 Aug 1665;
  3. John, b. 25 Feb 1667;
  4. Beamsley, b. 7 Apr 1673;
  5. John, b. 28 Aug 1676;
  6. Elizabeth;
  7. Stephen, b. Jun 1683;
  8. Abraham, b. 22 Dec 1685;
  9. Nathaniel;
  10. Martha.

Hannah Perkins died on 16 Oct 1732,[2][8] in Ipswich, Massachusetts.[4][7] Hannah's will dated 1 Feb 1723 was proved on 23 Oct 1732 and made bequests to the following people:[2]

  • Joseph, Nathaniel and Abraham - children of her son, Abraham;
  • Sarah, Hannah and Martha - children of her son, Beamsley;
  • Abraham and Sarah - children of son, Nathaniel;
  • Hannah Stanford, daughter of her daughter, Hannah;
  • John and Mary - children of daughter, Martha;
  • Joseph & Elizabeth - children of daughter, Elizabeth;
  • grandson, Samuel Ingalls;
  • sons, Stephen (named as sole executor) and John.

Research Notes

Savage says that Hannah married first to Bushnell.[3] This is believed to be incorrect.

Some sources add another daughter to Hannah and Abraham's family: Dorothy b.c. 1695, d.1771, m.Francis Peabody.[9][10].
