BIOGRAPHY Hans Georg, Prinz von Schönaich-Carolath, was born on 3 November 1907 in Berlin, the son of Johann Georg, Prinz von Schönaich-Carolath, and Hermine, Prinzessin Reuss zu Greiz.
On 5 November 1922 in Doorn, in the Netherlands, his widowed mother married Wilhelm II, the ex-Emperor of Germany.
On 20 june 1939 in Langseifersdorf, Hans Georg married Sibylle, Freiin von Zedlitz und Leipe, daughter of Günther, Freiherr von Zedlitz und Leipe, and Ilse von Lieres und Wilkau. They became the parents of a daughter and a son.
On 9 August 1943 in Mantschina, Russia, Hans Georg was killed in action. His widow died on 9 October 2006 in Vilsbiburg-Achldorf.
