About Harm Prins
During WW II, Harm was a soldier in the Dutch army. After the Netherlands were taken over by the Germans, Harm was a prisoner and required to do slave labour on farms in Germany. One day after the war and after his platoon had regrouped they were cleaning their guns, a gun accidentaly went off. One of the soldiers cried out that the bullet had gone through is hand. Everyone rushed to that soldier but didn't see Harm as he lay on the floor with the same bullet into his leg. As a result of this accident Harm lost his leg. This happened about 6 weeks after he got married
