About Harold Hedrick (Michael Butler)
On February 10, 1920, Harold W. Hedrick, age 1 year 7 months, was living with his parents, Clarence and Lillie Hedrick, in the home of his paternal grandparents on Apple Street in Winston-Salem, Forsyth County, North Carolina.
On April 14, 1930, Harold Hedrick, age 11, was living with his parents on Central Avenue, Kirkwood City, Saint Louis, Missouri.
The name Harold W. Hedrick was the name giving to him at birth. His birth certificate recorded in the Office of Register of Deeds in Forsyth County, North Carolina, was later changed to Michael Grayson. He was a/k/a Michael Butler. Upon his family arriving in California in 1937, he did get to audition for some roles and did get a small part in the movie, "Seven Sweethearts," starring his sister, Kathryn Grayson. His baby sister, Frances Raeburn, had the role of Cornelia. After trying the singing and acting stint, he decided not to pursue this route, and like his brother and father, he decided real estate would be a better career for him, and he was successful.
