Harold F. Ohler

Harold F. Ohler, 84, formerly of Markleton, died June 16, 2011, at Goodwill Mennonite Home, Grantsville, Md.

He was born May 28, 1927, in Upper Turkeyfoot Township, a son of Alexander and Mattie Jane (Younkin) Ohler.

His parents; sisters, Elsie Kreger and Alice Porterfield; brother Charlie; and an infant sister, Mildred, preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife, Helen (Carolus) Ohler, Somerset; son Barry and wife Deborah, Excelsior Springs, Mo.; daughters, DeAnna Kelly and husband Steve, Garrett and Dana Bowers and husband Jason, Ursina; grandchildren: Lori Shaulis and husband Shaun, Stoystown, Dustin Ohler and fiancee Ashley Addleman, Markleton, Scotty Kelly and fiancee Amber Marker, Markleton, Heather Kelly, Oakland, Md., and Meghan and Anna Bowers, Ursina; greatgrandchildren: Carter and Reese Shaulis, Natalie Davis, Paige Kelly, and Colton Movers; sisters: Eva Hoover and .husband Ray, Ohio, Sarah Singo and husband Frank, Markleton, and a brother, Elmer, Rockwood.

Harold was a member of Kingwood IOOF Lodge No. 1010 and retired from King and Bungard Lumber Co., Markleton.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m., the hour of service, Sunday at the Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence. The Rev James Monticue and the Rev. Paul Tobias officiating. Interment in Old Bethel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Kingwood Church of God.
