The Modesto Bee and News-Herald 09/08/1969 H. S. Higgenbotham Graveside services for Harriet Shaw Higgenbotham, 85, a resident of Modesto since 1939 who died Saturday in a local hospital after a long illness, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Acacia Memorial Park with the Franklin & Downs Funeral Home in charge.She was a native of Utah and moved to California in 1925. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormon).Survivors are four sons, Eugene E. Higgenbotham of Washington, Paul S. Higgenbotham, Oakland; Roy S. Higgenbotham of Escalon and Robert M. Higgenbotham of Illinois; two daughters, Virginia Howitt of Waterford and Kathryn Alexander of North Hollywood; three brothers, Edmund Shaw, Stanley Shaw and William Shaw, and three sisters, Dora Grott, Clarice Shaw and Gladys Slater, all of Utah; 15 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren.The family requests remembrances be made to the Building Fund of the Modesto Stake, LDS Church.
