The Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress of Newcastle-on-Tyne Mr and Mrs J. F. (brother and sister-in-law) were amongst the mourners at the funeral at West Hartlepool, [West View Cemetery, 62 John Howe Gardens, Hartlepool, Durham, TS24 9NQ 54.7074829, -1.2326642] yesterday, Friday, 16 May 1913, of the late Mrs Harriet Mellanby, who died at Seaton Carew on Wednesday, 14 May 1913 aged 81. A service was held at [St Paul's Church, 12 Grange Road, Hartlepool, Durham TS26 9JE 54.6855267, -1.2204449]. The deceased lady's husband, who was a prominent townsman, and at one time a member of the West Hartlepool Town Commissioners, died 22 years ago.
