Harriett Elvira Flournoy

Harriet Elvira Fenley, dau. of Zachariah Fenley and Rebecca Danzey, was b. Jan. 24,1820 in Clarke County, Alabama. Her family immediately rem. to Nacogdoches, Texas; m. with GEORGE ALLEN, son of Rowland Allen and Sarah "Sally" Chapman. He was b. Apr. 12,1812 in New York.They res.in Houston, Texas.

Children by George: John K. (1840), Samuel Warner (5/26/1843), and George F. (1846).

Child by Samuel: Hortense (1860)

After his death on June 5,1854; she remarried, as 2nd wife,on Jan. 4,1859, with SAMUEL MARTIN FLOURNOY. He was b. 1799 Scott Co.,Kentucky. She d. May. 14,1873 in Quitman, Wood Co.,Texas; he d. 1878 there. Both buried at Quitman City Cemetery, Quitman, Texas.
