Harrison was son of Philip Hoffman. Philip born Nov 30, 1797 died Jan 9, 1879 at his home in Barbour Co., WV.

The family along with a couple of well-known researchers feel that Philip was buried on his property in Barbour Co., WV. NOT what is listed on his memorial page. No records have been found to disprove this theory.

Philip married twice. After his first wife died, Philip married Phoebe Ann (Goff) born March 18, 1823 in Preston Co., WV - died Jan 17, 1904 in Marshall Co., WV. She is buried beside her daughter, Phoebe Luella (Hoffman) Hillard in the Greenwood Cemetery in Wheeling, WV.

Harrison is son of Philp Hoffman, son of John and Sarah (Goodwin) Hoffman

and

Phoebe Ann (Goff) Hoffman, daughter of Salathiel Goff and Malinda (Gainer) Goff.
