GLENSHAW, Pa. — Harry C. Aichner, Jr., age 77, died Saturday, June 7, 2008, at the Cleveland Clinic, after a brief illness. Born Feb. 19, 1931, he was a son of the late Harry C. and Hattie Hepfinger Aichner. Harry was a 1949 graduate of Strong Vincent High School, a 1952 “cum laude” graduate of Westminster College, and a 1955 M.S. degree recipient in Clinical Psychology from Penn State. He Served as Staff Clinical Psychologist, Chief Clinical Psychologist, Executive Director, and Clinical Director at a number of mental health facilities in New York and subsequently Ohio. He also had a private practice since 1965. Harry was a member of the American Psychological Assoc., the American Assoc. for the Advancement of Science, the International Academy of Forensic Psychology and the American Psychology-Law Society. He was listed by Marquis Who’s Who, Inc. Survivors include one brother, Kenneth Aichner of Pittsburgh; one sister, Ann Knauer; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine (Scremin) Aichner. Services and interment will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army.
