About Harry Franklin Graham
Harry Franklin Graham was the tall one of all the Grahams. Your father said he looked like a tancher, but he was definitely a city type. He was very generous to this little niece. Born March 17, 1903, he led a rather wild life. Harry spent a lot of time in the notorious North End of Kansas City and had a girl friend, Midge. (All the boys smoked and drank.) He had a kind of sleepy-eyed charm, but didn't marry until the same year Bill and I did, 1945.
He became head of the Mayron Green Restaurants. One day, he saw a beautiful brunette and nudged the man next to him sayint, "I"m going to marrty that girl!"
Edna Conrad applied for a job and Harry, her boss, put her on a steam-table. A sexy Scorpio, she had a terrific figure and gorgeous legs that did not escape Harry's eyes. Marry, they did! She was divorced, because her first husband drank. They needed no children, they adored each other.
Harry had loved his sister Cora; well, he loved his whole family.
They (Harry and Edna) lived very well, enjoyed Christmas and the wild-life they could see from their windows. Harry became ill and was in the same hospital at the same time as Marie's Mary Elizabeth. Edna said he would break down emotionally when speaking of Cora. Harry had cancer and died August 12, 1987. He is credited with saving Arch's li8fe. Edna said she spent thousands on his funeral. She then lived in an upscale apartment in the famous "Plaza", which has Spanish style buildings, Courtyards and many fountains and escaped the sad decline of the rest of Kansas City Missouri. It had a doorman.
