Hazel M. Pillsbury
She was born on March 7, 1918, in Dallas Plantation, the daughter of Lyle and Lena (Clark) Ross. She was educated in the schools of Dallas Plantation. On Sept. 28, 1941, she married Charles Oscar Pillsbury in Phillips and he predeceased her on Sept. 13, 2002.
While raising her family, she worked at Forster Mfg Co. Then in her later years, she worked as an inspector at Bass Shoe Co. in Wilton, retiring in 1980. She had made her home in Strong since 1985. Hazel was a charter member of the Strong Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed knitting and cooking.
She is survived by her son, Stanley L. Ross and wife Marie of Old Orchard Beach; her daughters: Carol A. Boyd of Strong and Cathy L. Pinkham of Strong; 12 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 18 great, great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by; her husband, Oscar Pillsbury (2002); her son, Norris W. Pillsbury (1996); her sisters: Evelyn A. Collins (1999) and Elsie Presby (2010); her brother, Leonard W. Ross (1993) and Norris Ross (1940).

Visitation will be held on Sunday, Nov. 27, 2016 from 1 to 2 p.m. with funeral services to begin at 2 p.m., at the Strong Church of the Nazarene, 84 N. Main St., in Strong.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Dan & Scott’s Cremation & Funeral Service, 488 Farmington Falls Rd., Farmington, ME 04938.
