His n. s. birth date was 16 Aug 1834. One family record indicates that he died at Rosenort/Rosetown, Manitoba. "When ... Henry and Helena Hildebrandt were enroute to Canada by boat, they lost an infant son, one of the twins named Jacob. He was buried at sea. John, the other twin, died in Manitoba when he was eight years old (of diphtheria)....[Jacob Henry] was the only child born in Canada" (Harms, 1978, p. 40).
