The first house built in present Perkasie Borough was a log house built in 1740. Henry K and family lived in the log house about 2 years before it was razed and replaced with a stone house built by Henry K around 1847. His son Elias and family lived in the stone house for about 18 years. (Souvenir Edition- Perkasie Borough 1879-1929 p.126)

Two original dated stones are visible on the second story. The one on the left, facing the house, reads," Heinrich und Elisabeth Neis Haus 1847." Translation: House of Heinrich (Henry) and Elisabeth Neis (Nace) 1847. The reddish stone visible on the right, facing the house, reads, "I S A S 1740." They would be the initials of Jacob Stout and his wife Ann Stout. An "I" was often used in German Script to replace a capital "J". (See photos taken in 2022 in Media.)
