Heinrich William Uerling

Henry William UERLING(S) is the son of Johann Hunrick UERLING and Anna Margaretha DRIESSEN. He was born in Lamersdorff, Duren, Aachen District, Prussia and came to the U.S. in 1848, and first lived in Waukeska County, Wisconsin. He moved to Ripley County, Missouri where he married Elizabeth Jane HAGAR on 17 February 1879. Henry William and Elizabeth Jane Urling moved to Nebraska in about 1892. Elizabeth Jane did not like Nebraska and they soon returned to Missouri, where she died 19 January 1898 in Doniphan, Ripley County, Missouri. Following her death, Henry returned to Nebraska in 1902 and farmed south of Indianola, then about 1904 he purchased a farm in Frontier County where he lived until his death in 1910. Henry William and Elizabeth Jane had 11 children; Mary "Molly" Elizabeth, Anna Margaret, Franees Jane, John Matthew, Sarah Jeanette, Henry Cleveland, William Thuerman, Cora Viola, Herman Franklin, Claude Lee, and Maude Mae.
