About Helen Hall "Ella"
Ella always told us that she had been raising kids her whole life. In 1918, when she was only 13 years old, she and Mae went down the street to care for some younger neighbor kids. The family was very ill and could not care for them. This is probably because of the famous 1918 Flu Epidemic.
