JOHN GLADSTONE (died 1757 aged 61) is the father of

THOMAS GLADSTONE (born 1732), who married Nelly Neilson in 1762 and had sixteen children:

  1. Margaret, born 29 March 1763, died 1814.

  2. John, born 11 December 1764, died 7 December 1851.

  3. Euphan, born 27 October 1766, died in infancy.

  4. Walter, born 13 July 1768, died in infancy.

  5. Murray, born 4 May 1770, died 10 September 1841.

  6. Janet, born 4 May 1770, died 1842 (Mrs. David Ogilvy).

  7. Thomas, born 18 February 1772, died 10 April 1844.

  8. Robert, born 1 December 1773, died 31 August 1835.

  9. James, born 9 July 1775, died 27 September 1832.

 10. Helen, born 9 July 1775, died 1839 (Mrs. Alexander Goalen).

 11. Hugh, 26 April 1777, died 27 November 1835.

 12. Marion, born 26 February 1779, died 1834 (Mrs. John Watson).
