Helen Afton Watson

Helen Afton Logan Watson, 85, passed away peacefully January 23, 2002 in Bountiful, Utah having patiently endured many years of ailments. Born November 28, 1916 in Cedar City, Utah to Ervin Fountain and Lily Root Stewart Logan. She married DeVerl Watson in Nampa, Idaho on July 23, 1939, later solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple. After DeVerl's death on July 23, 1969 she later married Robert M. Clark who also preceded her in death.

Afton was sweet and loving, her life was filled with service. She was always happy, encouraging and she loved to dance and to laugh at a good joke. Active in the LDS Church, she served many years in Primary and Relief Society. Thanks to Life Care Center for their loving care. Survived by daughters and son, Janett Mallard (Ray), Karen Bower, Brent Watson (Shirley), Marsha Edwards (Ralph); 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Sister and brother, Mildred Entwistle (Al), Roy Logan (Maureen).

Funeral services will be held Sat. 1 p.m. at the South Cottonwood 4th Ward, 981 East Revere Circle (5555 S.). Friends may call Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 S. State St., Murray, and Saturday at the church from 12-12:45 p.m. Interment, Elysian Burial Gardens.
