12 August 2016: Correcting a common error - Hendrick is often referred to in genealogical literature at "Hendrick the Boor", seemingly implying a person of bad manners, an oaf. This is not true. He was Hendrick Felix der BOER. Boer is the Dutch word for Farmer.
