aka Henry Simpson aka Henrick Semensen aka Henry Simonson

Death notice taken from the Door County Advocate, May 16, 1907:

Simonson - In this city, May 12, 1907, Henrich Simonson, aged about 84 years.

Mr. Simonson was born in Eker, Norway, August 13, 1821, and emigrated to American in 1872, since which time he has resided in this part of the county. He is survived by an invalid wife and eight children, three sons and five daughters, viz.: Andrew of New York, Gustav of Chicago and August of Sturgeon Bay town, and Mesdames Halvor Peterson of Milwaukee, Gilbert Anderson of Nasewaupee, J. Crow of Chicago, Oscar Stram and I. Bavry of Sturgeon Bay town, all except Andrew being present at the funeral, which was held from the Moravian church yesterday afternoon, Pastor Groenfeldt officiating, and interment taking place at Bayside.

Mr. Simonson has always been regarded as a good husband, father, citizen and neighbor, and as such was generally respected and esteemed by all with whom he came in contact. Unfortunately for both himself and his many friends Mr. Simonson some years ago became so badly affected with rheumatism as to quite cripple him, having been practically bedridden ever since, but his sufferings were endured with much patience and Christian fortitude, hardly a murmur having escaped his lips during the long and severe struggle.
