HENDR1KUS PRINS DIES SATURDAY

Mr. Hendrikus Prins, 77 years, died at his home early Saturday morning following a heart attack.

Mr. Prins came to America some 51 years ago and he settled near Sioux Center. The past 28 years however, he lived in town.

He was born in Gelderland, Netherlands on May 7, 1865. On February 28, 1896 at Sioux Center, he married Anna Vermeer and to this union two daughters were born. Mrs. Prins died on December 8, 1937.

Surviving are the daughters Bertha (Mrs. John E. Vander Berg) of Sioux Centter, and Marie (Mrs. Chas. De Vries) of Orange City. He also leaves two step-daughters, Louise & Gertrude, who kept house for him, and six grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday July 13, 1942 at 1:00 p.m. from the home and at 1:30 p..m. from the Central Reformed Church. The Reverend Mr. M. Gritters officiated, he was assisted by the Reverend Mr. R. Meengs. Bearers were E. Roelofs, H. Nieman, J. Broek, W. Pelskamp, C. Van Beek, and A. De Groot. Burial was in the Sioux Center cemetery.
