Henry Crane

Henry Crane was born 1625 in Andover, England, He married 1st with TABITHA, dau. of Stephen Kinsley; she died shorly after 1681 and he married 2nd, about 1683, with ELIZABETH....Settled in Dorcester, Massachusetts in that part of the town known later as Milton. He was an iron worker and probably worked in the foundry formerly on Furnace Brook, built there in 1643. He was a prominent man in the town and elected selectman in 1679-1681. He and Tabitha had 10 children. He died in Milton, Mass. on Mar. 21, 1709. All children born in Dorcester or Milton; since they resided in that part of town which changed from one town's jurisdiction to that of the other.

• Benjamin (3/1/1657; wounded at the Narragansett Swamp fight in King Philips's War of 1675, serving under Captain Johnson)

Above book states that Elizabeth Kingsley was a daughter of Stephen Kingsley. First wife,Tabitha (---- on referenced book) was already noted as a daughter of Kinsley/Kingsley (in other source). We have calculated that the two wives were most likely sisters and the profile reflects that as the case. If anyone has other information, please contact management.
