HENRY VAN HORNE
Service for Henry Van Horne, retired locomotive engineer who died Monday after a brief illness. will be held Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at his late home. Burial will be in Vale cemetery. The house will be open Thursday night. He formerly lived at 248 Union street.

He was born in this city. He entered the employ of the New York Central many years ago and when he retired had been in the employ of the company for 35 years. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers, the Holland Society, and the Sons of the Americn Revolution.

His father, William J Van Horne, was formerly mayor of the city. His wife, who was Nettie Duckrow, is a trustee of the Woman's Club, and is active in the Schenectady County Republican Club. His mother was the late Mary Margaret Barhydt. Besides his wife he is survived by two daughters, Mrs B C Rowe of Bridgeport, Conn, and Mrs William Rowan of this city.
