MILLINOCKET – Herman A. Deschaine, 93, died at a local hospital Sunday, May 29, 2005. He was born May 3, 1912, in Upper Frenchville, the son of Joseph and Agnes (Saucier) Deschaine. He was the husband of the late Meda A. (Berube) Deschaine who predeceased him in 2002. Mr. Deschaine was a communicant of St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church. Herman was known for the many years he barbered in Millinocket. His business, Herman’s Barber Shop was located at several Penobscot Avenue locations over a span of 45 years. He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Lorena and Rene King of Millinocket; a granddaughter, Renee, her husband, Joseph Lacasse, and their son, Gus, all of Trenton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday, June 3, 2005, at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church. Interment will be in Millinocket Cemetery.
