The picture is Herman's wedding picture. The copy that I have has the following info on the back and is written in my handwriting so someone dictated it to me. I do not remember who since it was ~30 years ago. It was probably Dan Donovan. "Wedding picture in Detroit. c.1886. Mary Louise O'Hollihan and Herman Joseph Hoffend. She was c.28 - school teacher (later mens tailor). He was c.26 - butcher. HJH - b. 8/4/1860. d. 1/21/1945. MLO - b. 3/26/1858 in Paw Paw, Mich. d. 10/22/34." Today I changed the information in Herman's and Mary Louise's profiles to match this information since I was told by Nate that there is no other factual information yet.
"Michigan Death Certificates, 1921-1952," database, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:KFWX-QQ8 : accessed 12 March 2016), Herman J Hoffend, 21 Jan 1945; citing Detroit, Wayne, Michigan, United States, Division for Vital Records and Health Statistics, Lansing; FHL microfilm 1,972,912.
