About Hervey Stewart Osbourne
http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=69037471
Hervey was son of Frances Matilda Van De Grift and Samuel C. Osbourne. He was buried in a temporay pauper's grave, but was never relocated. That meant that after five years all corpses were dug up and the bones flung into a common pit. His mother and sister were attending art school at the time. The doctors called his trouble scrofulous tuberculosis. He was also suffering from malnutrition. His father, Samuel Osbourne, was able to arrive at his deathbed. Frances Matilda Van De Grift's 2nd husband was Robert Louis Balfour Stevenson, whom she married in 1880.
