Hester Wigglesworth

Michael Matthew Middlebrook of "Hold" Mills, Yorkshire, England was born in—say—1590, and died on December 31, 1616. His wife was Grace.

Edward, his wife & son migrated to Charlestown, Suffolk co., MA in 1638 and sailed for New Haven in October of that year[2,7]. He was on the list of planters made between 7 April 1639 and 22 November 1640. His will is dated 5 May 1653 and mentioned his wife, Hester, son Michael & daughter Abigail

Torrey wasn't sure if she was "Esther RAYNER" or "Hester MIDDLEBROOK"[4] and this question remained until just recently. This issue was definitively solved in Maxine Stansell's article in the October 2002 issue of NEHGR entitled "The Middlebrook Sisters: Mother and Mother-In-Law of Michael Wigglesworth[5]".
