Hettie Phillips (1961 – 2013)

Brief overview:

Hettie (52), a nurse, was found dead in the bath tub of her bathroom. She had been tied up and had a pillow over head. It is believed she was strangled and suffocated to death. Hettie's husband was away at the time working outside Cradock.

Police spokeswoman Warrant Officer Elmarie van Eck said friends and family became worried when she did not arrive for work at the town’s old age home. A relative went looking for her at her home at about 7.45am. The suspects gained entry to the house through a bedroom window.
