Hezekiah Bayles is the youngest child of Johanna Lake (1714-1778) and Daniel Bayles (1716-1800).

On 5 March 1778, Hezekiah Bayles married Jane Evans in Montgomery County, Maryland.

Hezekiah was a Revolutionary War Veteran, serving from North Carolina and Virginia. He received a pension for his service.

The Bayles family lived in Washington County, Tennessee, where both Hezekiah's parents died. By 1809, Hezekiah and other Bayles family members were living in Madison County, Mississippi Territory.

Hezekiah and Jane Evans Bayles had eleven children.
