MADISON - Mrs. Philip (Hilma) Pederson, age 91, of Madison died on Sunday, January 21, 1990, at her home. She was born on November 4, 1898, in the town of Christiana, the daughter of Hans and Carrie Christianson and has been a life long resident of Dane County. She was married to Philip Pederson on July 27, 1918. She as a member of Burke Lutheran Church, and also the Burke Lutheran Church Women. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Clara (Bruce) Burkhart, and Mrs. Helen (John) Fillman both of Mazon, Illinois; a son and daughter-in-law, Oscar and Lorraine Pederson of Bradenton, Florida; five grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; a sister, Marlyn Pederson of Madison, a brother, Wilmer Christianson fo Cambridge; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Philip in 1985; a sister Mary; and a brother, Bennie. Funeral services will be held at BURKE LUTHERAN CHURCH, 5720 Portage Road, at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 25, 1990, with Reverend James T. Bean III officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may cal from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 pm.m on Wednesday, January 24, at the GUNDERSON FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive and again after 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, at the church. Memorials may be made to Burke Lutheran Church.
