https://www.everestofthunderbay.com/book-of-memories/89649/youmans-... Obituary for Mr. Hilton Richmond YOUMANS Hilton Richmond Youmans
On March 21, 2003, Hilton Youmans, 77, passed away peacefully with his family by his side, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Hilton was born on February 3, 1926, in Fort William and spent his youth on his parents farm in Nolalu. He worked for CNR and in various bush camps and sawmills before getting into trucking. He was an owner/operator with Kingsway and Motorways for many years. He later moved into sales with Mack Trucks and Peterbilt. He also spent several years as a driving instructor at Confederation College.
Hiltons family was the most important thing in his life. He enjoyed his leisure time working at the summer cottage, fishing, crafting in the garage, travelling and just plain relaxing. He rarely complained about his illness and faced it with resolve and dignity to the end.
He leaves to mourn his loving wife, Arlene, children Terry (Donna), John, Bob and Kathy (Kevin) Johnson, grandchildren Aaron, Adrienne, Kerry, Madeline, Jeffrey, Jared, Jesse, Daniel and Nikita, great-grandson Jaiden, brothers Bill (Shirley) and Bob (Irene), mother-in-law Sylvia Jacobson, sister-in-law Verna (Emile), nieces, nephews and friends. Hilton was pre-deceased by his parents William and Mabel, brother Howard and sisters Hazel and Celia and father-in-law Jack .
Memorial Funeral Services for the late Mr. Hilton Youmans, will be held on Monday, March 24, 2003 at 2:30 p.m. in the Westfort Chapel 420 West Gore Street at James with Rev. John Schmidt and Rev. Jef Koenig officiating. A private family interment will take place at a later date.
