Hon. Lucia Emily Margaret White was born on 3 December 1890.She was the daughter of Luke White, 3rd Baron Annaly of Annaly and Rathcline and Hon. Lilah Georgiana Augusta Constance Agar-Ellis.1 She married George Vere Arundell Monckton-Arundell, 8th Viscount Galway, son of George Edward Milnes Monckton-Arundell, 7th Viscount Galway and Vere Gosling, on 24 June 1922. She fought in the First World War between 1914 and 1918, serving overseas with the Y.M.C.A. and British Red Cross Society, Nursing Service. She held the office of Maid of Honour to HM Queen Alexandria between 1919 and 1922.Her married name became Monckton-Arundell. After her marriage, Hon. Lucia Emily Margaret White was styled as Viscountess Galway on 7 March 1931. She held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Nottingham in 1944.
