Hubbard and his wife Charlotte removed from Stonington, CT to Preston, NY. They were early settlers in the town of McDonough and lived in the vicinity of Lake Road at the beginning of County RT 7. At the first town hall meeting in McDonough, on March 4, 1817, Hubbard was elected Constable.
They had ten children. [1] Charlotte EMELINE, [2] Lafayette [died in Civil War], [3] Laura B., [4] Melissa, [5] Washington Warren, [6] Orrin A., [7] Louisa, [8] Charles G., [9] Alonzo and [10] Lydia.
