Daughter of Andrew Foster (b. 1579 in Wickham, Suffolk, England, d. 7 MAY 1685 in Andover, Essex, MA) and Ann ALCOCK (b. 7 MAY 1617 in Andover, MA and died in Salem Jail, MA while awaiting execution as a witch on 3 DEC 1692). Ann ALCOCK was the daughter of Georg ALCOCK b. 1587 in Impington, Cambridge, England.
Hannah's husband, Hugh Stone, killed her in a drunken rage in 1689 and was hanged.

STONE FAMILY of Andover Hugh stone married Hannah (2) Foster, daughter of Andrew (1) he was Foster and Anne---, Oct. 15, 166611667). While/drunk, he murdered her by cutting her throat,on April 20, 1689. For this crime he was hanged on Gibbet Plain, out on the Heading Road near the Stenkins' place. Their children were cousin John, (2), b. Nov. 24, 1668; Simon (2), b. Oct. 8, 1671; m. Esther Foster, Dec. 1716; d. in Bancaster, 1747. In 1690, Simon served under Lieut. Bancroft and was wounded during an assault by Indians on the garrison at Exeter. He had 9 bullet wounds .. and lay on the fields, apparently dead. Indians came to strip him, and trying to cut off' his head, made dreadful wounds. The soldiers suddenly appeared and the Indians made off, after taken Simonis scalp. While men were burying the dead, Simon was seen to gasp [and he was hurriedly placed on a litter and carried to a surgeon. To everyone's astonishment, he recovered. Katherine (2), b. Dan's portion ran down the Hill included 3/4 acre of orchard bs. Katherine had her share in moveables and a meadow on plain south of Spring Grove cemetery.
