Hugues II de Mont-Saint-Jean

Hugues II de Mont-Saint-Jean, Lord of Mont-Saint-Jean and Thoisy married Élisabeth de Vergy, daughter of Hervé de Vergy in 1172. Their children are:

1. Élisabeth de Mont-Saint-Jean (around 1173-1200) who married William I of Champlitte in 1196.
2. Guillaume II of Mont-Saint-Jean (1175-1223) who will marry: Marguerite de Blaison (born around 1210) an a second marriage in 1200 to Bure des Barres (born in 1188), Dame d'Ancy-le-Franc.
3. Jean Jérôme de Mont-Saint-Jean (died in 1224).
4. Hugues de Mont-Saint-Jean (died in 1231).
5. Pons de Mont-Saint-Jean (around 1180- February 23, 1230.) who will marry: Helvide de Diges or Helvise de Toucy in 1201. Then second marriage in 1209 to Sybille de Noyers who died in 1219.
6. Élisabeth de Mont-Saint-Jean (died in 1210) who married: Aymon II de Marigny in 1186 who died in 1200. Her second marriage was to Bertrand de Saudon in 1200 who died in 1221.
7. Agnès de Mont-Saint-Jean married Eudes II Le Champenois de Chanlite (died in 1204).
8. Marguerite de Mont-Saint-Jean (c1172-1224) married c1175 Guy I of Til-Chatel (c1150-1189), after 1189 her second marriage was to Érard de Villehardouin who died in 1224.

Ponce de Mont-Saint-Jean, seigneur of Charny, Salmaise, Noidan (C 138), Thorey-sous- Charny in 1222 (C 586), was the third son of Hugues II de Mont-Saint-Jean and Elisabeth de Vergy (C). Ponce received Charny and part of Chastel-Sansoy; he contributed to the construction of the church (consecrated in 1172) of the Abbey of La Bussiere. In November 1228, his wife and son Hugues consent to his donation to St. Hypolite de Corbeton (P1). In 1257, dau. Elisabeth de Charny, dame de Thil, donates to the church of St. Thibaut (A, Co). Ponce married Sybille de Noyers, daughter of Clerembaut, seig. of Noyers, and Alix de Brienne (A). ….
