Provo Mrs. Hulda Louise Whiting, 68, of Monroe, died Wednesday at the home of a son, Elsworth Whiting, Orem, following a heart attack. She was born March 2, 1869, in Copenhagen, Denmark, a daughtrer of Hans Peter and Christina Phillips Sanders. She came to the United States with her parents in 1883, settling in Salt Lake City. She was married to Sylvester Whiting , August 12 1887. They moved to Centerfield, where they resided until 1908, when they moved to Monroe. Mrs. Whiting was an active member of the L.D.S. church, having served for 21 years as sec. of the Relief Society at Centerfield. Surviving are six sons & daughters, Elsworth Whiting, Orem; Edwin & Ausman Whiting, Riverside, Ca.; Heber Whiting, Smithfield; Mrs. Nelly Nielsen, Monroe; Mrs. Mary Hugentobler, Salina, & 18 grandchildren. Mr. Whiting died 20 years ago. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 1pm in Salina LDS ward chapel. Additional services will be conducted at the graveside of the Monroe cemetery at the graveside in the Monroe cemetery Sunday at 4pm. Burial will be under direction of the Deseret Mortuary.
