About Dr. Hyrum Royal Barney Williams

Hyrum Royal Williams is the only child of Ezra Granger Williams with his 2nd wife Electa Jane Barney Williams. He was born in the Lion House in Salt Lake City while his mother was staying with her sister who was one of Brigham Young's wives. (During the Utah War evacuations)

Hyrum married three times. His first wife was Della Huffaker who died shortly after giving birth to her only child (who died at birth). He then married Margaret Ann Warner and raised a family in Ogden Utah. Finally, he married Elizabeth Kinghorn and raised another family in Idaho.

Hyrum was a blacksmith, a dentist, and an avid fisherman. He is remembered as a stalwart member and leader of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He died of complications of thyroid surgery.
