ALEXANDER BAYNE OF TULLOCH (aka ALEXR BANE OF TULLOCH)

His Last Will and Testament

Alexander Bayne of Tulloch made his last will and testament at Tulloch on 28 September 1596, in the presence of the Reverend Robert Logie, Minister of the Gospel at Urquart and Logie, Mr. Rannald Bayne, his son, and John Bayne, his brother. He left his soul to God and appointed his body to be buried in the Kirk of Dingwall.

Alexander Bayne of Tulloch nominated and constituted his four sons, Duncan Bayne, identified as his apparent heir, Alexander Bayne, John Bayne, and Mr. Alexander Bayne, to be his executors testamentary and intromitters with his goods and gear. He left legacies to his brothers John Bayne and Lachlan Bayne, and his sisters Cristiane Bayne and Agnes Bayne. He also left legacies to his four sons, and his three surviving children by Agnes Fraser, John Bayne, Jonet Bayne and Catherine Bayne. Alexander Bayne of Tulloch died in his house at Kilmuir on 9 March 1600: "in his place of Kilmure upon the nynt day of Mrche the yeir of god Jaj and vjc yeirs".
