Ida Mae Henry

Ida Mae Henry, 83, of Knox RD, died at 7:35 a.m. Tuesday, June 8, 2004, at the home of her son, Lester Henry, Emlenton RD.

Born Feb. 22, 1921, in Ashland Township, Clarion County, she was the daughter of Charles and Rosa Berlin Dittman.

Mrs. Henry was a member of St. Mark United Church of Christ in Monroe.

She was a homemaker and loved working with flowers and enjoyed baking and cooking.

Mrs. Henry was married Feb. 5, 1941, to Homer Henry, who survives.

They celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary this year.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are one daughter, Ruth Ann Weaver and husband, Richard, of Knox RD; two sons, Lester C. Henry and wife, Kathy, of Emlenton and Eugene C. Henry and wife, Doris, of Knox RD 1; seven grandchildren, Shelli McHenry and Garry Henry, both of Knox, Becky Lewis of Emlenton, Jay Henry of Shippenville, Stephen Henry of New York and April Weaver and Autumn Weaver, both of Knox; eight great-grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and six great-stepgrandchildren.

She also is survived by two brothers, Neil Dittman and James Dittman, both of Knox.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Henry was preceded in death by a sister, Eileen Johnson.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the William N. Rupert Mortuary, Knox.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the funeral home with the Rev. Nancy Dunmire, pastor of St. Mark United Church of Christ, and the Rev. Chris Lewis, pastor of the Bethany Evangelical Congregational Church at Crossroads, officiating.

Interment will be in St. Mark United Church of Christ Cemetery, Monroe.
