Ida Lyng

Ida reiste fra Norge 14. april 1925 med Stavangerfjord fra Oslo. Hun kom til USA, via Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada 26. april 1925. Året etter ble hun gift med Ludwig Lyng fra Trondheim, 17. juni 1926. Fra folketellingen 1930, ser vi at Ida og Ludwig har to barn, Lawrence og Ronald. Litt senere får de også sønnen Owen.

Så skjer det noe, ca. midt på tretti-tallet. Ida og Ludvig blir skilt. Ida havner på mentalsukehus, Steilacoom, Pierce, Washington. Her blir hun, helt til hun dør 8. august 1986. Det ser ut for at Ida har bodd mesteparten av sit liv i USA i King County, Washington, altså like i nærheten av sin søster Anna.

Ludwig gifter seg igjen 24. april 1939 med Clara Ann Neubert.

To answer your questions about Lud.

Ida is the mother of the children. Ida had a mental breakdown and was in a mental institution the rest of her life. I believe I gave you this information before. Lud divorced Ida because of that and remarried.

Hello Tor,

My name is Barbara Lyng--widow of Ronald Lyng. Ron passed on 10/19/2000 so I am answering for him.

Ida Erickson was Ron's mother who passed at age 86. Ida and Lud Lyng had 3 children--Lawrence, Ronald and Owen. All 3 now desceased.

Lawrence married and had 1 child-Eric, also deceased.

Ron and I had 3 children--Eric (now deceased), Rondi and Steven. Rondi married Michael Murdock and have 2 children--Mathew and Mackenzie--they each have one boy. Steven married Pamela Tarr and have 4 boys--Andrew, Joshua, Timmothy and Daniel.

Owen married my sister Joan (changed name to Georgia Brown-her maiden name) Owen and Gerogia had 3 children--Michael, Deborah and David. Michael married Paula(don't know her maiden name) and have 2 boys--Brian and Greg Deborah married Phil Riise and haave 2 children--Tiel and Kirsten. Tiel married and has 1 boy. Kisten married and has 1 girl.
