Michel Clemenceau, né le 24 novembre 1873 à La Réorthe (Vendée) et mort le 4 mars 1964 à Moret-sur-Loing (Seine-et-Marne), est un homme politique français. Fils de Georges Clemenceau, il est notamment député entre 1945 et 1951.

Vie privée et carrière​:

Fils de Georges Clemenceau et de l'Américaine Mary Plummer, il passe une partie de son enfance auprès de son grand-père paternel Benjamin dans le manoir familial de l'Aubraie, située à Féole de La Réorthe (Vendée). Indiscipliné, renvoyé de plusieurs établissements, dont l'école Monge de Paris, vers 1888 il est finalement envoyé par son père à Zurich afin d'y suivre les cours d'un professeur particulier, puis ceux de l'Institut agronomique, dont il sort diplômé ingénieur agronome en 1894.

De retour en France en 1905, il prend part à des affaires1 plus ou moins régulières qui portent préjudice à son père — qui est accusé de favoriser son fils quand celui-ci traite avec l'intendance militaire — et qui l'associent à un certain Le François, condamné pour escroquerie en 1910. Brouillés en raison de ces mauvais choix, le « Tigre » et son fils ne se réconcilient définitivement qu'en 1914, au moment où Michel part pour la Première Guerre mondiale.

Travaillant en Hongrie, il y épouse en 1901 Ida Michnay (1882-1983), ils auront deux fils2 : Georges Michel II (1902-1976), diamantaire, marié le 30 juillet 1927 à Louveciennes avec Jane Lucy Rosenau (1901-1985), fille de M. Rosenau et de Mme née Hainemann, d'où deux filles (Françoise et Marie) ; Pierre Clemenceau (1904-1995), négociant, marié le 16 avril 1931 à Paris avec Terka Gross (née en 1910), fille d'Edgar Gross et de Simone Bernhardt, arrière-petite fille de la tragédienne Sarah Bernhardt, d'où : Georges III (1932-2017), marié avec Isabelle Carlut, d'où deux fils (Tristana et Éric), Jean, marié avec Françoise Brumelot, d'où un fils (Thierry) ;

Pierre s'est remarié le 14 décembre 1938 à La Nouvelle-Orléans avec Margaret Grunewald , d'où : Paul (1940-), marié avec Lisa Lowrance, d'où deux fils (Benjamin et Georges), Joan Missy, mariée avec Alaric Lueg.

Most present details about the fact that his "Hungarian" daughter Ida was married to a son of the celebrated George CLEMENCEAU (just as this individual's younger brother Paul had also chosen a Hungarian wife in Vienna - Sophie SZEPS).

Eugen MICHNAY is described as having been 82 years old at the time of his death, that he had been "Bezirksrichter"/"Gerichtsrat" and then "Stuhlrichter" and involved in the Dioszegh sugar factory in the Galanta area, owned by Baron Karl KUFNER, a friend of Georges CLEMENCEAU. Ida MICHNAY's husband Michel CLEMENCEAU was a qualified chemist and engineer and, in order to pursue his studied into the sugar manufacturing industry of Austria-Hungary he had spent some time in the Galanta refinery. This was apparently arranged by Karl KUFNER himself, during an encounter with Georges CLEMENCEAU in Karlsbad, where both gentlemen generally enjoyed regular annual stays "to take the waters" and otherwise relax and refresh themselves before the outbreak of the first World War.

Emphasis is placed also on Ida as being a particularly pretty lady - indeed, one newspaper declares that the "tizianblonde, milchweisse, veilchenäugige" Ida von MICHNAY is named "das schönste Mädchen des Landes" - and in another there is a nice mention of Michel CLEMENCEAU referring to his two Hungarian sons, Pierre and Georges, as being "mes petits Rákoczis".
