PRESTON, Idaho - Ione Hilberg Oliverson, 96, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2000, at the Franklin County Nursing Home in Preston. She was born Feb. 21, 1904, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Christopher and Annie Marie Christensen Hilberg. Her family moved to Preston when she was 10 years old and she has resided in the area until her passing. She married Clyde W. Oliverson on Aug. 16, 1924, in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Their marriage was sealed in the Logan Temple on March 18, 1936. She loved her family and her church. She especially enjoyed working in her yard with her flowers and garden. She worked in several places in Preston, and retired when she was 76. She loved her church callings. She was Relief Society secretary for 12 years and was a visiting teacher and adult special interest coordinator. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and she enjoyed the many visits she had with them. She is survived by her daughter, Darlene (Max) Coburn, Preston; seven grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; a son-in-law, Reid Pearce, Logan, Utah; and by a daughter-in-law, Julie Oliverson, Preston, Idaho. She is preceded in death by her husband Clyde W.; a daughter, Cleone Pearce; a son, Clyde Jack Oliverson; and by a grandson, Kim J. Coburn. Funeral services will be held at noon on Monday, April 10, in the Preston North Stake Center, 310 N. State St., with Bishop Steven Fuller conducting. Friends may call Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home and Monday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the stake center. Burial will be in the Whitney Cemetery.
